starfield
Lightning and fireworks light these nocturnal skies, and I realize that despite my inability to live as it does, I love a world of great beauty and change. A few nights ago, the fields were wet with rain and glittering with countless fireflies. Tonight their sparkle is gone, but the moon illuminates clouds of an ironic iron ... their whispy nature is so clear, yet their color so strong! I lack the words to express expanses of atmosphere.

You should have seen the clouds here the other day. There was a sharp diagonal line that cut the sky. Beyond it was blue. Above it was this mixture of white, grey, and a brilliant black. The most readily available comparison lends itself as one of the things that are filled with colored sand and water. You see them at places like Gamer's Paradise and Spencers - the ones that you can turn over or they tilt side to side. The sand fills in and marks the eddies. Beautiful rare site that it was - I, of course, could not manage to run in the house and get the camera fast enough. It faded to grey cummlus clouds.

But those sand things are way too cheesy ...

Well yeah. You don't actually buy one. You go and look at it every now and then and go 'ooooh' and 'ahhhh' as the sand fills. It was a cool thing to see in the sky.

...That is one of the sights I love to see "living out in the corn" ...The lightning bugs in the fields. We have this park designed to restore some prairie life to the area and it also gets really foggy, the bugs love it there and it is so beautiful...
