another one of those "Assorted Stupidity" entries

Perhaps I have associated "pirates" with "stripes" as a result of years of exposure to the sight of cheapo Halloween costumes at superstores. I have now temporarily associated my journal with pirates, so ... hmm.

This layout could, colorwise, last me until Christmas. (I was very sick of black backgrounds, and much as I love Van, I hated that look I put him in.) The font this time around is way small ... I wish there were some ... ".5" font. A "somewhere in between" font, a "happy medium" font. But alas, all fonts are all or nothing. At least small sans-serif fonts are pretty easy for (young) eyes to read when the contrast is good.

The gal on the one side is, apparently, the perky butt pirate. But I cannot call her that in polite company, so she needs a name. Suggestions?

I am annoyed by the fact that my word processing program automatically capitalizes letters and inserts spaces for me.

Amazingly appropriate.

Goshdarn, have I told you how AWESOME my new Animal Crossing town is? When we began it, Klatford was looking like the backwater of the Animal Crossing universe, which trust me isn't all that large. But after a golden axe logging program, it has become much more livable. Randomness also abounds in Klatford, much more than Portsview (the first Animal Crossing town we used, borrowed from John), which makes it absolutely nuts.

I have three flying saucers in my house for no good reason, and they spin to the music (which is named "K.K. Gumbo"). Klatford's inhabitants include a gorilla guy named Louie who says "toots," a cute green squirrel named Mint, a pink gorilla gal named Jane (HAH!), Cube the penguin, a warty little toad called Wart Jr., Winnie the horse, and the freakiest cat you've ever met ... named Tabby. The whole affair is so stupid, it's wonderful!

Our island native is an orange tiger named Rowan, and he wears a straw hat!! He said that we would be the color of lemon bars.

As for FFTA ...

I love the thingies that look like manatees crossed with sharpei puppies. I can't remember what they're called, but they seem to be primarily magicians. I'm just not getting how to make the mogs effective on the battlefield ... I have three in my clan right now (one thief, one black mage, one animist), but I never really use them. Is there a max number of units you can have in your clan?

It seems that a requirement for membership in my clan (which I did NOT name "Nutsy" ...) is a random or cool name. Marius (my adorable white mage), Yolando, Wagner ... my black mage is named, of all things, Staring. Janeth is a sniper now, and she is AWESOME! She can turn invisible.

But alas, I had to give FFTA to a friend so that I wouldn't play it while I "studied" ...!
