Oh, great! Don't blow up on me now, dude!
Marvin has decided that the grinding noise is just too low class for his capabilities, now he's got a "Wrr ... wrr ... wrr ... wrr ..." sound going on in addition. He's a one-CPU band? I should buy him a harmonica and see if that makes him happy. Wait, I named him after the depressed robot in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I could hire an orchestra for him and he would still be bummed!

Am I the only one who doesn't like to hear music when I'm put on hold? It causes me to lose my train of thought.

OHOHOHO so that is the holdup. I went to the bank to discover that the delay rested with the merchant, which seemed odd, as they have never before hesitated to take my money. Called the customer help line, and it turns out that money was not the issue, it is simply a case of there being no purple bags remaining. (What the?? The website lied! ... I wish they would've sent an email or something saying that the color was no longer available.) I had a choice of black (boring), charcoal (boring), olive (boring), or "royal." Had to go with the blue. I'm slightly irritated. Oh well ... not worth fussing about. And I guess it's good to expand my color horizons in accessories? So I like purple a lot ... Black probably would've been the more logical secondary choice, but most of my bags are black, purple, or pink/red. If I couldn't get my favorite purple, then I wanted something different, ya? (Picking up on Wakka vibes.) Maybe I'll tie a purple ribbon on it. Yes, that will work.

Marvin, the dynamic here should not be forte. Let's try for pianississimo!

the wrring sounds like a chassis fan's ball bearing going bad

if you're lucky, the grinding will eventually die down after a few weeks and it'll be okay again- albeit the fan would be louder than before it started grinding

Thing is it has been been making grinding sounds for over a year now. Just far more consistently as of late. I think the PSU fan is wonky and then everything else in the computer is just going "Hey, that looks like fun!" ;_;
