I managed to update Hammerspace last night, though not with all the content that I would have liked to. I have about seven or eight pieces from my class that I'd like to scan for Classwork, but unfortunately things seem set against that at the particular moment. Due to the larger scale of my pieces, I wished to use the scanner at the Alumni and Development Office, where I work. It's not nearly big enough, but it's helluva lot bigger than the scanners in any of the computer labs, and definitely bigger than the one I own.
My boss, however, decided that she didn't want me to use it, partly because it was for work, and I doubt she'll change her mind. I can understand some factors in her decision - her own computer was dying, and she had been working on the computer that's hooked up to the scanner all day, for example ... but others, I just can't. It's not like I'm going to break the scanner, it's not like I don't know how to use it, and the scanner sits idle much of the time anyways. I won't be expending ink, paper, or space on the harddrive, merely time. Oh well.
I'll be going to work after lunch, although I'd rather not. I don't want to be there, and it's obvious by this point that even if I worked my butt off day in and day out, I will not complete my work study amount. But oh well. I was supposed to be there this morning, but at eight-thirty after I staggered out of the shower, having remembered only to wash my hair, I said something to the effect of "screw this, I'm going back to bed." So I did.
It's a good thing I set my alarm, otherwise I'd still be sleeping. I feel better now that I've slept more, though.
I feel like saying that I can't go on much longer like this, but I know that isn't true. I can always go on, and with situations like this, I always have. I've never once collapsed, have continued to attend classes, etc..
Ah well ... we had Anime Night the other night, and we watched the older Rurouni Kenshin OAVs, which are one of my favorite animes of all time. Shoten, I know there's a specific name for them, but I can't recall what it is ... do you know? I'm sure you do, you RK fiend. ^^ Anyway, we drew a lot on the board - I drew an awesome Yukishiro Tomoe, and a cute Battousai with fangs ("Kenshin Gone Maaaad" as Kristy put it) ... as well as "John Getting Crucified For Stealing Popcorn" (an inside joke it is, I guess). There was also an attempt at Muteo from Blue Sub No. 6 that didn't really look too much like Muteo, but looked kind of cool nonetheless ... and Kenshin from the waist down, since John wanted me to transform an eraser smear of his into a katana with Kenshin holding it. lol
::abruptly shrieks happily::
Why don't you just take the day off? I'll have two other students here this afternon wanting to work and with my computer a big question mark, we may be short a computer. They have projects they have to get done. See you next week.
Yesterday, I had forgotten that I had to atttend the Provost's Dinner ... so as I was walking past some fellow Provosts sitting on a bench on my way to dinner in the cafeteria, they stopped me and asked me whether I was coming, in effect reminding me. ^^; So I went! I had a better time this time than last time ... and apparently people can tell that I'm in a lot better of a mood and feeling happier than I did last semester ... although that probably isn't hard, as last semester I was practically in tears the entire time. ^^;
I kind of want to play Ragnarok ... I haven't really played Ragnarok in a long time. ^^; My swordswoman is kickass. I love being a Swordswoman. I've decided that I also want an Acolyte, so I can heal and speed up monsters and thus torture idiot players. ^_^
