Just got back from Saturday Morning Cartoons on a Wednesday. I was so tired that I didn't get up like I thought I did after my alarm went off, and I nearly slept through SMCoaW, but my roommate woke me up about five minutes before they began. ^_^; I brushed my teeth, hopped into some flip-flops, grabbed a blanket, and made it in time to watch the Carebears.

The Carebears scare me now. o_o I wonder how in the world I loved that show so much when I was little.

Me - If I saw that, I'd think I was hallucinating.

Carebear 1 - This looks worse than I thought.
Carebear 2 - Maybe showing him just isn't enough ...
Friend (still in shock after seeing the song-and-dance number) - This calls for ... a MUSICAL!

It was craziness. We then watched the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I gotta say - they're more inept than their coolness lets on. They were going for these crystal pieces, but through the course of four episodes they failed getting every single piece. Then suddenly, they're like "watch out, it's designed to blow when the two meet," or something like that ... 'twas totally out of the blue! Can we say trying to cover up a failure (on the part of the Turtles or the scriptwriters, doesn't matter)? hehe ... it blew up. Convenient for them!

Friend - They're such smartasses. It's why we like 'em.

Friend - Shredder needs to get LAID!
Me - o_o;
Friend - Whaaat, it would release some of that tension he has, yo!

We then watched the Animaniacs. And I caught anime references! XD

I should study for my final tomorrow, but I probably won't start doing that until around 10:30. ^_^;

Like, what channel are these on? Watching Carebears again would be... interesting... Also, what anime references? 0_0 I stopped watching that show before I got into anime.

It wasn't on any channel, we sent out a member of the Dimensions Anime Committee to some video rental store to get a boatload of tapes. ^_^

And yes, Animaniacs really does have anime references. ^^ For example ... you know that guy from Lupin, the one who wears dark colors, a hat (can't see his eyes often), has a beard, and smokes all the time? (I've only seen Castle of Cagliostro, so I don't remember his name.) He was driving a cart. ^_^
