moving moving moving, get those bovines moving
I got a wireless router because the internet access point and my computer are at polar ends of the apartment (and on two different floors to boot.)

Step One: Plug the router in.
Step Two: Plug the internet into the router.
Step Three: Plug the router into the computer for installation!

Anne's Response: Wait just a minute! Didn't I get this to not plug it into the computer, because, you know, I physically can't?

Well, as it turns out, my habit of hoarding cords is sometimes useful. Now I just have to figure out how to relocate the router (and, more importantly, still have it talk to the computer) so that I don't have my 40 foot cable from college stretched across my new place like a poorly disguised boobytrap.

p.s. I just survived twelve days without personal access to the internet, which is a new personal best! Back to cleaning!

Most modern routers can be setup wirelessly. By running an app on the install CD and pressing an auto configure button on the router it’s self.

[Edit: When the hell did the Discovery Channel get so boring?] Really that’s too bad.
I found "The Human Body: Pushing the Limits" to be fascinating.

Maybe I just have bad timing. I tuned in to find some sort of game show taking place in a taxi cab, and after that was a prolonged program on Israel's military might.

I have forgiven the Discovery Channel because I like this "How It's Made" show. I think I was swayed because I happened to tune in when they were showing how oil paint was made, and I seriously wanted to stick my hands in the stuff.

So, I take it this means you got a new apartment??? Congrats if this is so. :) You'll have to email me your address so I can send you an apartment warming gift :) Or at least some pocky or chocolate or something.. Are you still making the annual pilgrimage to Acen this year? Let me know what your plans are and maybe we could do another photo shoot or something. I'll be lurking in Artist Alley as usual. You know where to find me.

I was wondering too if this meant she had a new apt.

Yes, I do have a new attic ... er, apartment! Which is, somehow, again in an attic.

Due to expenses incurred in the move, I'm not sure what the plans are for A-Cen at this point. Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe saving is a really good idea. I don't know yet.
