Oh, I do too. ^^; No matter where I've lived (which admittedly hasn't been in a great deal of places), I've always had a "junk drawer" or something like that, filled with useless objects or things like polished rocks (I really like polished stones, I still have a small collection of them).

I have a bad habit of keeping old school notebooks and such. Last time I cleaned that out, it took me four garbage bags to get rid of them all. @_o;; "So ... heavy!! Nooo, the outdated textbooks are poking holes through the plastic!"

Lately I've been keeping things I normally wouldn't, though. o_O "Oh, I could use this somehow." "Oh, I may be able to stick this in a project, should keep a hold of it." These days I wish I hadn't thrown those horrid abused textbooks out ... I could've used it somehow! lol

I need an "embarrassed" or "sheepish" icon.

Heh.. Tomorrow I'm supposed to be getting new furniture for my dorm room. I fear the amount of junk that has collected in my drawers over the past two years that I've lived in this room.

For example, in one of the drawers, I have several pens, two stickers that say "Designed for Windows 98/NT/2000", some adhesive foam, a GameShark for Gameboy, screws from a computer, a AA rechargable battery, a bank statement from last year, a "Vote Nader/LaDuke" campaign button, a length of IDE ribbon cable, a Toad the Wet Sprocket CD, a foil Pokemon trading card (a Flareon), and a bunch of other random stuff. The top of my desk isn't any better. There is no real pattern to the things that I hoard.

Over time, specific "junk collection areas" develop accumulations which can indicate their proximity to a particular source of stuff. For example, my desk drawer at school became reknowned for the Postit Notes, the front part of my computer which fell off, and numerous other desk-y stuff.

My closet became a place of rest for a lot of wire and junk ... o_o
