Happy holidays, everyone. I, for one, am still flu-free, and thus have delved into the squishiness of my mind in order to find these morsels of ... stuff. (I had several moments of wisdom last night, and they all gave way to this. Whee?)

On the Wrapping!
Here's what I say - whether you are a "skilled" gift-wrapper or not depends on what you are going for. If you are going for beauty and sleek line, then if you wrap like I do on a regular basis, certainly you're in for definite failure. If, however, you are attempting to disguise the nature of what lies within the packaging, then making a blob with paper and tape is completely acceptable.

On the Seasonal Music!
Less is more. Christmas-only radio stations get dull quick, as there are only so many different renditions of "Holly Jolly Christmas" that one can listen to without memorizing the lyrics and thereafter regretting it. Classical style or traditional choral pieces are my personal preference, as any attempt to jazz up "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" brings back rather bad memories of show choir. XP (Some of you have seen pictures of those days, and most of you never will. XP)

It's somehow vaguely amusing to me that people who are so much further south are seeing more snow now than we've had all year in this lovely lake-effect zone. Perhaps the strength of my mother's anti-snow will can control the weather after all? It's cold here, but very brown. The only snow to be seen is the icy, gray stuff that's piled up from last month in the parking lots. o.O [1 a.m. edit! We are getting nailed with snow, and a one-hour trip took three hours to make! "It's strange to feel like you're flying when in actuality you're going 35 on the Toll Road," says my mother. Anyway, we have snow now, and it covers the grass. Yay.]

Time to tie my hair up with tinsel and brave the flood of relatives!

Thinking about food. You know how sometimes you can hear a thing so often, you become annoyed by it or find that it now has the opposite effect?…

  • and we're all like, "yay!"

Surprisingly, changing medication has helped a good deal for general day to day living (I hope this lasts). I don't feel continually bone tired and…

  • it's never far

I took two walks today and cleaned my room, but I'm still feeling very out of sorts. Cadbury Creme Eggs seem to have vanished from New City shelves,…
